Leon Altman
I have been a copywriter, creative director and marketing consultant for over 25 years. I started writing direct mail copy for Times Mirror Bookclubs, then for the next 12 years worked as a copywriter and eventually as group creative director at top-level ad agencies, including: Wunderman; Young&Rubicam; BBDO and DDB/Needham. I then headed up direct marketing for the launch of Buyside, an investment magazine and helped build it into a major publication in its investment niche. As a freelance copywriter for over a decade, I have written numerous control-busting winners for companies like IBM, Ameriprise Financial, Novartis, PC World Magazine, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, theStreet.com, alibris.com, shipwire.com, and mailers such as Growth Report and InvestorPlace Media (formerly Phillips). I have also built a number of his own successful internet businesses, including niche health and financial websites, and Internet marketing consulting services.
